i went to the beach ......was beautiful ..i packed a picnic lunch picked up my mate brucey and his kids ...and chilled out .....but i swear it had better be this beautiful when grant gets home ...i have been to the bech 3 times without him (cause when he gets home ...he brings the rain:D...)..and i feel a bit sad cause i spend my tim wishing he was here.

what did you all do over your weekend?

FREEZE MY HOOCHY MUMMA'S OFF AT AUSKICK SATURDAY IN THE RAIN AND BLAINE WAS LIKE A BLUE ICE BLOCK.

made a costume last night and that was pretty much it. No scrapping even though I planned to but I did find my desk :rolleyes:

The beach in May.........never down here.

Spent my Sunday at a trampoline competition, gotta love getting up at 6.30 on a Sunday morning......and to finish off a perfect day, did the grocery shopping when I got home.

i did week 3 of the biu comp, caught up with family on sat nite and went to the footy on sunday. my boys (port adelaide) basically won on the final siren!!

I also froze at Auskick on Saturday morning . And went to visit my parents , had friends over for dinner on Saturday night . Then up early on Sunday to visit friends in Alexandra and then went with them to have a look at what was left of their house at Marysville ....very emotional experiance ...seen it all on telly and in the paper but a totally different feeling when you are standing in the middle of what use to be a beautiful town , that is now pretty much gone except of the odd house ....watching people just driving around taking photos of the sadness really pissed me off .....that was my weekend

I loved this weekend, went shopping with Geoff at Chaddie, had a skin analysis done and bought new skin care, happy to say only three visable wrinkles :D but believe or not a fair bit of UV sun damage :( so going to have to work harder at not getting anymore. Dinner with friends on Sat nite and then a relaxing book reading and scrapping Sunday

More of that type of weekend please, looking forward to going to Lorries first crop day.........

we drove to mums again so Shane could go flying, I must say I am sick of seeing the Hume Hwy!! we go there once a month and as much as I love my family I just hate the blooming drive.

so it was the long weekend. what did you all get up too?

I spent it sleeping in, tidying up, catching up on paper work and a little bit of scrapping.
It is finally raining here and has been since 4pm today and its good cos we havent seen it for sooo long.
Its bloody cold though. 8 degrees at the moment and blaine has gone to bed with a hot water bottle for the 1st time. He thinks he is it and a bit but he is finally asleep.
Tomorrow I am off to the dentist for the 1st time in over 7 years. I am filling the dacks I tell ya. Im not looking forward to it, but once ive been i will be ok. I HATE DENTISTS !!!
Thusday Im off with Suzie to Geelong to Kaisers new launch, and i cant wait for that.
Then Friday is curriculum day, Sat is footy and off to the doctors in the arvo, Yep specialist appointment at 4pm Sat, can you believe it? and back there Tuesday.... I guess it's going to be a very expensive week for this little black duck...

I Scrapped - my wonderful hubby had the girls so I could go to the Scrapbooking expo on Saturday left at 8am and got home at 5.30 (making the most of it). He took the girls to the Lifeline bookfair on Sunday so I could scrap and then today he had them again so I could go back to the expo and do some classes. It doesnt happen very often and I will probably hear about it for the next month but it was soooooo worth it and I so needed some inspiration. Feel the mojo coming back.
Hope your week isnt too expensive Lorrie and you get the answers you need. I have night duty tomorrow night - yuck - but feeling fresh and ready to play.

i spent most of the long weekend brisbane.

got in mid afternoon on saturday - the airport shuttle took a while to drop me off at my hotel - he blamed it on the one-way streets in the cbd!

i checked in and headed straight for the scrapbooking expo. omg! so many things there to salivate over. on sunday i went to 3 classes. didnt do as much shopping as i wanted - had to be mindful of the luggage limit.

met hetty :) if u think she looks great in her avatar pic, you should see her IRL. that new hair do is a knockout! it was good to finally meet someone from this site!

on monday i went to the queen st mall, strode along southbank, went on the big 'wheel of brisbane' and then to the bookfest (which was next door to the scrapbooking expo). again i had to be mindful of the luggage limit so i only bought 2 books.

got into adelaide at 8.30pm last nite.

we went camping with jetag and her family .......freaking beautiful .....poor hayden cut his foot, is still hobbling put will survive ...he hehe ..he had to where my pink crocs for the rest of sunday and monday,,,,,,,i so could go live in a tent ATM...the peace and privacy was just what grant and i needed to take our mind off other things. ...but grant flew out today so back to normal :rolleyes:....though because o the swine flu shelby and hayden are still out of school

Lol thanks Maria, now everyone is going to think I am some spunky chickie, when the opposite is the case, wouldn't mind so much but the Melbourne gang is going to meet the real me soon, they might be a bit dissappointed :D

By the way everyone Maria is a real stunner, nothing like her avatar, she has got the most gorgeous eyes I have ever seen!!

Sammi I have had my hair short before so washing it was not all that strange but it is nice not to have to use too much shampoo and all that.

I studied, read so much academic stuff my brain hurt, did some scrapping and was just kicking back and relaxing with Geoff as Sophie stayed with Alice. We were like empty nesters so it was just great

Saturday i didnt get of my PJs till afternoon cos i had such a busy week - just read the Saturday paper and did this and that - bit of shopping in p.m. cooked a yummy pasta bake for tea., watched a DVD Sunday - went to the footy - my girls team played at half time in the game- had dinner at a fabbo Asian restaurant in China town 'Idea', not cheap but soo good, Monday kicked back in a.m -bit of housework- my sister and niece came over to collect their cruise tickets and info - only 3 weeks till i sail - YAY

Tried to keep the kids occupied once we got home after being in Brisbane for 4 weeks! Took them to The Strand, played on the beach and went for a walk. Then Sunday we did some shopping. I worked on Saturday night at the Cowboys game and then took another shift at the after-game function at the leagues club. Got home at 2am. Monday was pretty boring and we just took the kids out to keep them busy. Back to Pre-School on Tuesday - thank God!! Then today I had another scan (13 weeks) and got to see our little bubba with his little arms and legs movin about!!

Trying to get myself back into Scrapping. I've got so much stuff that I ordered before I let and my RAK from Nic - I need to get stuck into them!! I just can't get motivated to scrap or to even chat much!!

I am currently wrapped in a blanket, heater put up a few degrees, and watch hail on the window and wow its coming down.....

HELL YEAH......we have a king king size bed (:rolleyes: bloody kids, if you can't beat them , just let them in so you can all get some sleep) i think we got down to 16 last night and 27 today ...sound like your type of winter???

Took me out to dinner tonight to discuss dates and times and the only catch is, he can fly up for 2 days and come to a couple of theme parks with us. I think I can handle that!!!

Everything seems to be going good. I had another scan to check on the haemorrage and haven't got the report back yet but it all looks fine and bubba had a strong HB and was kicking and moving around in there!

now Lorrie you do know how far cairns is from gold coast???.....you can come here n there ...but i can't drive ya ..or double ya on my push bike ....he he he

it is about 2 day drive from here to Brissy ...:rolleyes::cool::rolleyes:...just checking .....cause we have had plenty of tourists think they can just catch a tram or train in 1/2 a day to get there ......(((hopes you still getup here )))

But i tell you what you have to go to infinity on the gold coast ,,,,it is totally cool ...it is a futuristic playground ......but my tip is spend a bit of time playing in each room cause you can only go one way ....my favourite room was the big ball room......make sure you have a ball fight ...but this will only take about an hour or so to do ...also the Ripley's believe it or not museum is worth a look .... if you don't have anything like that down there ...

Also check the height rules .....but i m pretty sure Blaine would be right for most of the rides ...unless you are going super scary !!!..
