I thought i would start this thread up so we can chat about movies 9that if we are lucky enough to get out and go see one)...we can share our thoughts.
I was home with just Gemilla last night so whenever it is just me and one child at home .....i take them to do something special ......(Hayden always wants to go to this seafood buffet restaurant ...lol..little hungry ass)
So Gemilla and i went to the 7pm session of Ice Age 3......was good movie ....i didn't think it had as much of the adult humor as i the first 2 ...but the graphics are excellent ....i love the little criter with the nut ...he gets a bigger roll this time :)......they are also showing this in 3d ...but not up here....i would of loved to have seen it in 3d ...out of 5 stars ..i would give it 3 :)

Well Lockie has been to see Transformers twice this holidays!! I took him once and then nathan took him again seeing as one of us had to have Lily.
It was a great movie, though it probably isn't appropriate for 4 year olds!! A bit of swearing etc, but awesome movie!! 4 out of 5 I reckon!! :D

Steven took the kiddos to see Transformers the day after we got back to Rocky. They've seen the first one and are mad about transformers - so even though I knew it was rated M I had no probs with the kiddos going to see it. THEY LOVED IT!!! Had to block my ears and sing loudly for a few minutes when they got home so they couldn't tell me what happened.
I've booked a date with myself to go and see it when the kiddos are back at school next thursday and ry's at daycare.
We saw a preview for ice age 3 when we went and saw Night at the museum 2 - it's definetly on the list to go and see as well.
Great idea for a thread Sammi - with Ry at daycare thursdays and Maddy and Nick at school I'm planning on making Thursdays a day (well a few hours of it) for me, so will be hopefully getting a few movies in and some feedback before going would be great.

yep i totally understand the weight loss thing. and i think the reward is a great thing. Ive just hired an exercise bike that I pick up tomorrow. Im back to my fat ass 100kg so want to loose 10 kilo by te retreat. Not sure if thats achievable but i do know that getting intergestion after I eat is a definete sign of PORKA SYNDROME :p

Music guys!!! Seriously, chuck some music on and it'll really help you get into it.
If you can't have music playing loudly at home (coz either a husband or a child complains ) then get one of those little ipod shuffles and then chock fill it with really high tempo songs that you love.
I could be running on the treadie thinking I'm about to just fall in a heap and then a song like 'firestarter by prodogy' will come on and I'm up and going full steam again.

They're awesome to have - hard part is thinking of a heap of songs to fill it up with.
mine's a one gig - am struggling to try and fill it. Had it about nine months now and think it's only half full.
Actually - if anyone wants to share some of their fav fast beat songs that would be fabbo.
and running ...... never say never :D

Sounds like a fabbo idea to me Sammi - wow!! though at 500 songs, at least you wouldn't get the same ones playin over and over.
Will let you know when I've got them on a disk for you .... not the most tech savvy at times, so no doubt will have to give a call out to Steven lol.

Went and saw the second Transformers movie today .... and it.was.AWESOME!!! It's action packed to the max, lots of funny little one liners that I love in a movie and all the favourites are in it again.... plus you gotta love that sound they make when they transform, just goes right through you in the cinema. Was glued to the big screen from start to finish.
Loved the transformers cartoons when I was a kiddo, and really enjoyed the first movie when it came out - but this definetly trumps it! Cannot wait till it comes out on DVD.

Well you know I really don't get to the movies very often...being that the nearest one in Cairns is a good two hour drive, so I have to settle for DVD's. I have a great supplier in Brissy so I get recent releases as soon as they come out on DVD for an excellent price....ANYWAY...last night we watched Gran Torino. Looking at the cover (Clint Eastwood standing next to some old fashioned car and holding a big shot gun) it is not a movie I would ever go for and it was actually DH choice...but boy oh boy what a great movie!! It is funny, sad, happy, emotional, angry, moving and ultimately satisfying. Something you don't get see very often.:)

same with me Emma, we got a copy of Gran Torino from my neighbour, I looked at it and went I'm not watching that. So hubby and son watched and told me how I would have enjoyed it. So the next day I watched it and I must see I really did enjoy it.
Also have seen night at the museum 2. That was good too.
Two on my want to see list are
My life in ruins
The proposal
Ohhh and I forgot about the new Harry Potter, thats a must see too.

the dog movie Sammi is called "Marmaduke" and anybody that has been past my Mum and Dads house would know if my Dad was alive he would be going to see this 1. He had Marmaduke painted on the gates at our house so when i was younger and drunk i used to tell the taxi drive to take me to the marmaduke house. Only recently have they come down but they will be put up as a feture wall in a memorial garden my Mum plants to create.
GROWN UPS is an Adam Sandler movie and a comedy. Looks piss funny and i love Adam.
