Well Well thought it was my computer too - as its overflowing with photos and keeps telling me low memory - so I am glad not just me. Thats why I havnt been around much cause unfortunately with spending so much time on here looking at houses and then I go to the site to check out the lattest and find it too slow and I run out of time. Not doing any scrapping so wanting to catch up with what everyones up to so I hope that its quicker soon.
HUGS to you all and missing chatting.

ok, finally got some info so here it is...
The PHP is an old version and is in the process of upgrading.
Before they upgrade, they need to buy some licenses so they can back up all the info in the forums and gallerys, not just the formatted jargin (are you still with me ?)
Once it is all backed up, they will then up grade the PHP to which we should have a super speedy forum and gallery...
This will take about a week so I am really sorry but they are working on it. I guess this is what happens when you deal with a non scrapbook friendly web design team, but in saying that, they are very helpful and doing everything to get it where it should.
now as for the spams, they are also working on this as well as the registration side of things.... I should have answers soon...
Did you get all that? I am overloaded with computer jargin but i wanted to let you know that it will be fixed asap!!
please bare with me during this slooooooow time...

no problem Lorrie!!
Just a thought, have you thought about clearing some of the images from the gallery perhaps too? just clear up some of the older images and create more space, could help maybe with the speed issue too?

I asked about that Anthea and they said that it wouldnt make much of a difference....
But if anybody wants to tidy up their galleries, please feel free

How frustrating for you Lorrie but at least you know that you have a good support team working for you and while it might be a tad inconvenient for everyone right now it should be working super speedy when the upgrade is complete.
I was just wondering why it was taking so long to load each web page. Had just asked Daryl if he was downloading and taking all out bandwidth.

How's this going Lorrie? It's sped up a little on this end, but not like it use to be!!
There is also this weird thing where there is a bit of a glitch with the heading on the site - when you hover over some of them, they kinda go out of line and don't let you click on them...

I will see how they are going tomorrow with a follow up call. They did tell me it would take as couple of weeks, and by the looks of it they are getting there, Will let you know as soon as I do

The site is definitely a lot quicker to load now which is great. Before it would only let me post 3 posts and then would just stall and refuse to load the page and let me post anything else. That was frustrating.
Kylie what browser are you using to access the site? I don't have any issues with the header.

Im not having trouble with the header, but it is still slow

Lorrie would you mind asking your techie what if anything I can do as I go to post three posts to the forum and then on the next post it just completely stalls on me halfway trying to send the post and I can't post any more. I try posting the one post for ten minutes or more. After fifteen minutes the forum automatically signs me out anyway. I have to wait about an hour or so and come back and try again to post another three messages.

ok, here is the deal. After talking to this computer gits for weeks on end I finally spoke to some kind of nutter who advised to do a clean up and see if this works... DERRR these guys and frigg'n stupid. This was the 1st question I asked and they told me over and over again no it wont make a difference. So here I am now.... bloody hell I could scream.
So my concern is you post counts..... I dont think I can save them but i know I can adjust them. So before I do a massive clean up... and Im sorry if I delete something you want (if you do want something to stay let me know asap) I will record you current posts and once I do the clean up I will adjust your counts to their current value.
Does this sound ok to you all? Or would you like me to pause the 200 count comp until I do the clean up is that easier.... now im confussing myself.
The gallery will also be attacked, so anything 12 months and older will be removed. If you want something to stay, please PM me asap and i will save it for you.
Sorry girls. might be time to find a new host and designer ...

I have noticed the site is faster so hopefully will remain this way for a while
Good idea to have a clean up, meets my Virgo need to have order and not chaos
