Man they really pi$$ me off!!

first they up the call rates and line rental, in 2000 we were paying $16 a month for line rental, and now it is $40 a month. NOW we get our phone bill and they want to charge you for paying you bill, WTF??

if you pay at one of their shops, via mail or at the APO you get charged $2.20, if you pay with a credit card there is a surcharge, but get this, of you combine a credit card with any of the above you get both fees.

is it just me or is this a money grabbing exercise?

Think I will be paying via DD from now on!

Be careful Anthea, cause they control your direct debit. You cannot cancel the direct debit only Telstra can.......

Check out the other phone companies. AAPT are really good

I have been hearing lots of bad things about Telstra lately and the way they have of keeping customers ransom.

We were getting ripped off with Telstra and our cable connection. They are well known for not having accurate meter readings. I have just had a Telstra door knocker tell me that there have been numerous complaints about the cable connection in our suburb and how unreliable it is. I told him that yes you could add us to that list. He asked me if I currently use Telstra for cable and I said no as they couldn't offer us a good deal and had been charging us for a service they weren't providing anyway. He asked me if he could explain their new 60GB deal. I told him that would depend on how much it costs. He asked me who I was with and when I told him TPG and with a plan of 40GB peak and 1110Gb offpeak for $69.95 he told me that was a great deal and that Telstra wasn't able to match that kind of offer as their 60GB plan costs $129.95 and so he promptly left.

Being on ADSL2 we need a phone line so do pay Telstra a $29.00 monthly line rental fee. I wouldn't be recommending Telstra and they have a shocking customer service deparment. They don't follow through on what they say that they are going to do. I was having to ring them for a couple of months to get a service charge reversed that was charged to our account in error. Eventually the last guy I spoke with told me that since no one was able to give me an explanation as to why the charge had been billed to our account that he would reverse the charge and so he did.

I pay the account by bill pay. I sure hope that there is no extra charge for that. I pay them $20.00 a payday which is each fortnight which covers our monthly bill of around $35.00.

LOL funny how you all knew who I was talking about!!

Yeah Shaz we are with TPG also, we pay $39.95 a month for their 25 gig plan and we are yet to come close to using our limit. We have also had the calls from Telstra about their plans, the funny thing is that they try to sell you on the first 12 months (which is half price) but dont tell you what the cost is after the first 12 months, I told one of them once that if I went with them it would mean having to find and extra $30 a month and that I didnt have room in my *** to find that kind of cash LOL she quickly hung up.

I ment to say I will be paying with B Pay from now on, I just liked the cash option.....

We had a huge problem with them when we moved to Perth, it was a long and almost tramatic experience as Shane was away and I was in Perth all alone with the boys, over 2 weeks and they finally figured out that they were the cause of the problem, even the threat of Josh and his medical history (he had febrial seizures SP?) didnt get their butt into gear after they had asked me if we might have medical problems, so I finally ripped it right to them and I got a 'pay out' that was enough to cover our bills for a couple of months
