Lately Shane and I have noticed spots turning up on our photos so I took the camera into the camera shop this morning to have a sensor clean, I turned up later to pick it up and the lady says "We've have a misshap with your camera'
now at this point I am thinking a lot of things, mainly FARK they've dropped it!!! no the girl cleaning it smudged the view finder so it has to be sent off to be professionally done, now Im thinking how much???? its at their cost =)
So basically I am now getting a professional clean for the cost of a shop job, got to be happy with that right?!? =)

That sounds like an ideal upgrade to your original job Anthea. Hope that you don't have to be without your camera for long though.

I know only too well what you mean about not realising quite how much you rely on having something around to use until it isn't there. I am sure it will be well worth the wait.

Anthea, these spots you talk about in your pictures. Are they mainly when you shoot with a flash. I get these spots sometime on photos that were taken indoor with flash. Some photos are worse than others.
Often wondered what causes them...

no their not, Shane noticed them before I did actually, he is a avid collector of model aircraft and takes some photos of his planes on a home made runway. With the blue sky background we could easilly see them, they actually look more like an oil stain if that makes sence (without it actually being oil!!)
maybe your flash has some dust on it any perhaps that could be causing your spots?
really missing it! I am using Shanes ATM, it is a fuji film one and takes some getting used to but atleast the photos arent as big so they dont take as long to load on the puter!! LOL

Ahhh, I know what spots you mean Anth - I used to have them on my old camera. Was in the process of trying to find somewhere to get it cleaned, but then it got stolen and replaced so was all good in the end.
BONUS on the professional clean - hopefully they're quick about it. Thank goodness she only slipped a smudge on the screen though.
