It must be right cause the name of the street is 'Jack William Way' which is my late pops name.

We got an email from the estate agent saying 'Congratulations on buying your new home" WOW!! Now for the HUGE mortgage for a while - I NEVER thought we would be borrowing 1/2 mill $ OMG STRESS (no not really cause when we sell this one its all good)!! I seriously dont know how young ones get started these days honestly. I am scared for my girls.

Anyways - bank is organised, pest and building passed. I think we were really lucky because the property was sold previously but fell through (we have been watching it for a while) so the couple were desperate to sell as they have purchased another property - yay for us got it for even less than we were willing to go but had to settle for shorter settlment than we would have liked.

I think it may take a while to get used to the size of the block as we are coming from a 1/4 acre with a pool etc but its hard to find any yard in new houses (especially with that size house). We were bummed it doesnt have outdoor entertaining but thats something we can do later (as we have done it here) and the house size is more important as thats harder to build on. Anyone know a good housecleaner for all those white tiles - thank goodness the girls have their own seperate kids retreat area.

Next think is to get this house on the market.

CONGRATS Tracy. Love your new home. Does this mean that you get to have your own scrapbooking room? I am sure that you will find that the next few months fly by and you will be moving in before you know it.

nice looking house Tracey.

I know what you mean about first home buyers, as much as we want a place of our own we just cant afford it right now on the single income, but it means we get to save a bit longer so that one day it may become a reality.

Good luck with the sale of your place. Mum had her investment house on the market for sme time and no one was interested, so she put renters in it, then put it back on the market again last month, it was sold within a week, I was so happy for her cause its one less problem she needed

woohoo Tracy.

Your house looks fantastic.

We're yet to get to that stage. Bit in the same boat as Anthea. Just too hard to save sufficient money on one wage and with the kids too.

mmmmm, looks like it will be a dream home that's for sure :D

I've been and had a little looksie from the link and it looks lovely tracey. Will have to have a look and see where in Berwick it actually is.

Yes prices of houses these day are just amazing and I often wonder how young people can ever afford to buy them. And what amazes me even more is how everything is new and the best in their new houses.

God my first house didn't have carpet for 12 months and we had sheets on the windows and basic furniture.
